Ylang Ylang means “flower of flowers”. The oil is steam distilled from the flower of the Cananga Tree and is commonly used in natural perfumes and massage oils. It has an exotic, sensual, floral scent that is believed to reduce stress and may even be a natural aphrodisiac. It is also thought to have properties that help to tone and stimulate the skin and balance the production of sebum. Its intense, sweet, top notes with exotic wood balsamic undertones blend well with other florals and citruses, and with may chang, patchouli, clove and lemongrass.
